01 · Before the photographer arrives

Plan the media and prepare the home.

Good listing photos start with a property that’s ready before the photographer enters. Check each task as it is completed.

Confirm the seller has approved the photography appointment and the property address is accurate.Choose the right media: photos, drone views (where permitted), a floorplan, a 3D tour or video.Confirm property access: parking, entry instructions, lockbox permissions and building rules.Ask the seller to finish cleaning and decluttering before the appointment.Clear kitchen counters, make beds and straighten furniture and visible decor.Confirm interior lights work, open window coverings neatly and clear exterior views where practical.Secure pets and remove mail, family photos and other sensitive items from view.Tell the photographer about special property features, outdoor areas or outbuildings.

02 · Photography day

Make the session count.

Use these quick checks so the photographer can focus on capturing the property rather than waiting for rooms to be prepared.

Have the property ready and accessible at the confirmed appointment time.Keep bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens and living areas tidy throughout the shoot.Check that garage, patio and exterior access is available if included in your package.Let the photographer know about any last-minute access restrictions or important details.
